About Carson

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play quick and aggressive, always pushing the pace and looking for scoring opportunities. I can score on all three levels—whether it's driving to the basket, mid-range jumpers, or three-pointers. I'm planning to shoot the ball more going into my junior year to take on a bigger scoring role. On defense, I'm a great on-ball defender, always locking down my man and making it tough for them to score

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I'm highly competitive and always striving to improve. I have a strong work ethic and stay focused on my goals, both on and off the court. I’m a team player who values hard work and dedication. I’m also resilient and bounce back quickly from setbacks, always looking to learn and grow. My passion for the game drives me to give my best every time I step on the court.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes, I’m highly active in my church community. I participate in various church activities and volunteer regularly. While basketball takes up a lot of my time, being involved in my church helps me stay grounded and connected to my faith and community. It’s important to me to give back and be a positive role model both on and off the court.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I've developed strong leadership and teamwork skills, partly because my parents have doctorates in leadership, so it's a big part of my upbringing. Being homeschooled has also helped me develop these qualities daily, as I often take on responsibilities and work collaboratively in various settings. Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I've faced the normal challenges that many student athletes encounter, like balancing schoolwork and sports. However, a significant challenge for me was when my family moved because of ministry. I relocated from Faith Family Academy in Dallas, TX, which is a national program, back to Tennessee. It feels like I'm starting all over again. Despite this, I'm resilient and determined to push through.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm interested in joining a highly competitive basketball program at any and all levels. My mentality is simple: I want to be where I'm wanted. I'm looking for a program that sees my potential and is excited about what I can bring to the team. I'm ready to work hard and contribute to any program that values my skills and dedication.
