Beloni is a good-looking shooting big forward and an impressive perimeter prospect with a knack for stroking the three-pointer. His combination of size and shooting ability makes him a unique and valuable player. Beloni’s versatility in playing both inside and outside positions, along with his scoring finesse, make him a remarkable forward prospect.

The biggest revelation of the day was undoubtedly Beloni, who quickly made us get familiar with him thanks to his size and extensive inside-out skillset. The Brazilian forward came out firing, and while he struggled converting from deep, showed a plenty believable southpaw stroke that can translate across all kinds of actions in the frontcourt. Far from a one-trick pony, Beloni showed polish and aggression off the dribble with an ability to finish in traffic inside using either hand. Playing mostly on the wing in jumbo Springdale lineups, he at least showed a willingness to get involved defensively and on the glass, though we’ll look to see more from him there in future evaluations playing more at his natural position. Nonetheless, there’s plenty to work with moving forward as Beloni figures to draw eyes from varying levels of D1 coaches now that he’s in the U.S.

A big sweet-shooting forward that plays the game the right way. Played very well at the Capitol Hoops Challenge and showed he can compete well and contribute with a group of high-profile offensive players. His shooting touch is off-the-charts. The defense is making a mistake leaving him any space to C&S beyond the perimeter. Carmelo has nice size and mobility and holds his own down low or on the perimeter defensively. He can time some big blocks and really effect the game when given solid run. Makes smart plays with the ball and stars in his role as a floor-running stretch-big that can even drop down to the small forward spot to complete a big frontcourt.
