Cameron has been an interesting bright spot for Pallotti so far. He plays with a mature approach, making smart passes and good reads without forcing the game or trying to do too much. Cameron can score in bunches when he gets going, and he’s shown he can attack off the dribble or knock shots down spotting up. He’s a good consistent shooter already, and that skill paired with his athleticism gives him flexibility in how he’s used within rotations. Smith’s ability to play as a guard or slide into a forward role depending on matchups is a big plus, and is part of why he’s become one of the more intriguing underclass prospects to keep track of this season.

-Liked his game during the TTO Memorial Classic as a do-it-all combo guard en route to a bracket championship for the Runnin Mavericks. Smith uses his size well to generate paint touches and usually makes good decisions in traffic because he does a good job of scanning the floor before even catching the basketball. If he can prove that he can guard multiple position groups, he figures to be able to carve himself out a role in a busy Pallotti guard rotation.

-A good decision-maker with the ball in his hands, Smith did a little bit of everything for a pretty good Runnin Mavericks team to win a championship in his team’s bracket. The rising sophomore is great at attacking the top foot, can finish well with either hand around the basket, and is comfortable calling his own number with pull-up jumpers or floaters in the key. Love how he used his size to clear out space on his path to the rim, refusing to settle for jumpers when he had a smaller defender on him.
