I was able to see Crowder play a few times over the summer and I came away impressed every time. I really liked the aggressiveness that he showed with the ball. Crowder often used a physical straight line drive to create looks at the rim. I’m willing to bet that we see him use a strong first step and solid lefty handles this season.

Crowder showed why he’s a highly regarded prospect at The Expo. I really liked his aggressiveness and his ability to find a bucket around the rim. Crowder was both athletic and creative. He had 2 very impressive up and under finishes on the day.

Crowder definitely turned some heads during summer ball. I really liked how he was attacking both sides of the rim. Crowder actually looked really strong going left. He kept a low front shoulder, kept the defender at bay with his right, and powered his way to the rim.

Crowder has had am impressive spring and coaches scouts are taking notice. He’s proven to be a 3 level scorer. Crowder has filled it up from beyond the arc. He’s also flaunted a pretty mid range jumper that he can get off before the defense effectively challenges it. Crowder has also been pressuring the defense off the bounce and finishing on both sides of the rim.

Crowder is catching some eyes and deserves to get some credit and some eyes on his game. He averaged just over 13 points per game at the NY2LA Spring Extravaganza. Crowder was and is playing downhill and playing at a high speed. He attacked the rim, which led to some crafty finishes.

can shoot the crap out of the basketball. He had an impressive showing during his individual drills in addition to dominating the competitive shooting games against live defense. If Forest Hills Northern can find a way to get him open shots, he’s knocking them down at a high percentage and could turn into a lead guy for their offense this upcoming season.

Speaking of playing with your head up, Crowder fit that bill last weekend. He really saw the floor well and was always scanning down the court looking for teammates with transition opportunities. Crowder was able to connect with the pass and create offense.

Crowder definitely deserves to be on the Watch List for this class. He has a nice skill set that points toward a lot of success as a point guard. The classic lead guard skills are certainly there – the ability to find teammates and get them the ball and the ability to handle in high pressure situations. Add to that the fact that he can bury a jumper at any time, and you have a very intriguing talent.
