Solon was one of two northeast Ohio teams making the trip down to Columbus and Brown looked very comfortable playing for the Comets new head coach. A long wing who can use his length to finish at the rim around and over rim protectors. A good shooter with his feet set, Brown has the prototype 3-and-D wing body and skillset. I expect a lot of small college interest to be shown to Brown sooner rather than later if he continues this level of play.

Solon will always play at a fast tempo and score the basketball, and Brown fits that style of play perfectly. Brown was a standout at the Cleveland Basketball Classic, showing his ability shoot it from the outside. Brown’s defensive engagement was also impressive, causing multiple turnovers with his length. I think Brown has the chance to play his way into scholarship opportunities this spring and summer but will also likely be highly pursued by Division III programs as well.

Brown came out firing early for Solon and his hot shooting from the outside helped the Comets stay competitive throughout the first half of play against the favored Richmond Heights Spartans. Brown has good size for a wing guard at 6’3 with a plus wingspan and used his size to attack the offensive glass and get a few put backs. Brown is a prospect for Division II, III and NAIA programs to have on their radars heading into the spring and summer.

Brown was impressive with his defensive effort on Saturday, showing off a side to his game I got to see for the first time. As a weakside rim protector, Brown flew over and blocked some shots with his wingspan and impressive physical tools. Solon graduates some key pieces but brings back both Brown and

Brown is a prospect who stood out on an OBC squad that won some big games this spring and summer. I was impressed with Brown’s spot-up shooting ability and think he has some athletic upside to grow as a ball-handler and defender. Solon will be relying a lot on Brown and
