About Calvin

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a team player who values ball movement, effort, and doing whatever is needed to help the team succeed. I play with high energy, communicate on the floor, and encourage my teammates in both practice and games. I take pride in being reliable, unselfish, humble, and coachable.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I bring a positive and consistent mindset to everything I do. I am encouraging, kind, and supportive of my friends and teammates, while also holding myself to a high standard. I stay composed under pressure and focus on growth, accountability, and team success.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in 4H Sidney Sharpshooters Club. I received Reserve Champion for our 2025 Season. I am involved in a young men's life group through my church.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through basketball, I have developed strong leadership and teamwork skills by leading by example and supporting teammates on and off the court. I understand the importance of commitment, discipline, and community, and I strive to represent my team and school with integrity.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes. Growing up in a single-parent household with my mom has taught me responsibility, resilience, and gratitude. Watching her work hard and make sacrifices motivated me to develop a strong work ethic and independence. This experience has helped shape my character, strengthen my perseverance, and push me to make the most of every opportunity.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that values both academics and athletics, where I can grow as a student, athlete, and person. I want to be part of a competitive basketball program with a positive team culture, strong coaching, and an emphasis on development, leadership, and teamwork.
