Dakota Ridge will look to Dixon to keep his scorching season rolling into the playoffs. Averaging 16.3 points and scoring in double figures in all but two games, he’s been a model of consistency. He isn’t shy about letting it fly from deep, and once he finds rhythm, he becomes an instant problem. As a true three level scorer, he gets to his spots, attacks closeouts and finishes at the rim. His confidence and shot making can completely shift momentum and put pressure on any defense

Dixon has had one of the biggest scoring leaps out of anyone else in the state and has made the most of the opportunity of being the focal point of the offense. He’s finished in double figures in every single game of the year, he’s shot the ball well from deep as a guy who can create for himself or stay shot ready when the ball rotates to him, and is always looking to attack. He’s up to 17.3 points on the season and has also helped out on the boards. He’s a prospect who we did not know too much about heading into the season, but his play has changed that. Big year for him. 

Dixon has shown he can stretch the floor with his shooting and provide valuable spacing. His game could elevate at The Expo by working on creating shots off the dribble while continuing to excel on catch and shoot looks. Adding more consistency while attacking closeouts, finishing at the rim or pulling up in the mid range would make him a more complete scoring threat. If he continues to knock down threes while showing versatility in how he gets his points, he’ll raise his profile as more than just a floor spacer

Dixon’s point of attack defense and passing ability has filled a much needed role for Dakota Ridge, making everyone else’s lives easier. Putting up 4 points, 2.3 assists, and 2 steals, the guard is truly a dependable glue guy for one of the best 5A programs in the state.

Dixon is a terrific point of attack defender, bringing quick hands and hips to lure opposing playmkers into tough angles. Playing around multiple talented shotmakers at Dakota Ridge, he serves the valuable role as a gritty perimeter defender who can take off the pressure for his teammates. 

Dixon has been dependable within a fast paced environment, actively putting pressure on the rim for layups or kick out opportunities. His speed with the ball draws in plenty of pressure, easily blowing by opponents off the rip and initial first step. Defensively, he is a pest at the point of attack, allowing both B&B and Dakota Ridge with opportunities to throw him at the best opposing playmakers. His role alongside Dakota Ridge’s array of perimeter creators will be fascinating to follow, already carving out a serviceable niche of late.
