Bryson Smith might be the most intriguing of the group.  A long rangy scoring wing, Smith could possibly have the highest athletic ceiling out of this group as many believe.  Smith elected to take a prep year at Moravian Prep and reclass which should work out to his favor.  Already with offers from Salem, Concord, Bethany, Potomac St, Kentucky Christian, Smith will look to elevate himself to high D2 or lower level D1 status after a prep year that will season him with serious competition and time to get his body college ready.  Smith led a talented group of South Charleston Black Eagles in scoring almost every time out last season and displayed his ability to truly score at all levels.  If Smith can elevate his defense to a higher level, look out, the coaching parade will proceed to Smith’s residence to court his services.

Smith is a long rangy wing with a skill set of a guard.  He is certainly athletic enough to push his ceiling upward and give himself a chance at a high college level.  Having a scorers mentality has led him greatly improve his offensive game and quickly get his name on the boards of many college coaches.  A year at Moravian Prep will allow him to consistently see what guarding at the next level night after night really looks like.  Seemingly a natural swingman, Smith will need to add some much-needed bulk and strength to go with his long athletic frame.

Smith is an all around player. He either utilizes his size to get a bucket down low and finish with ease or can blow by you with a great first step and knock down a mid-range jumper. Can also shoot outside of the ark consistently whether off the dribble or off the catch. Excellent defender as well and a great shot blocker.

Smith is an all around player who is great at both ends of the floor. He is great at getting to the rim whenever he chooses and attacks the paint no matter who is standing in his way. He is a great finisher when he gets around the basket and makes it look easy when he is in the air. He can shoot off the catch or trying create a shot with the dribble. He runs in transition and can find the open lanes where he can get the ball.
