He also does a great job navigating through traffic, staying under control and getting to his spots in the mid range and at the rim. As he continues to grow physically and add consistency, Thacker’s scoring package makes him a player that defenders have to stay locked in on every possession

Brycen, the youngest player on this roster by two years, showed some flashes of the elite scoring option he could become. He is a quick and twitchy guard that thrived when working on the perimeter. He was the smallest player on the floor in each game, but his long range makes him valuable on any team. Thacker was another pick up for RWE from Colorado.

Thacker may be undersized, but he plays with edge and confidence that stands out. He’s a feisty guard who competes on every possession and makes defenders pay for how they guard him. He also seems to be a knockdown shooter who can get going from deep, and you have to keep a guy on him. In his Saturday games, he created off the bounce and stayed aggressive, hunting for his shots. He moves well without the ball and attacks when it swings his way. He’s a creative scorer who continues to improve, and now he’s showing it defensively as well. It was great to see him play players his age and not just varsity. Excited to see his growth this summer.

As Mullen’s second-leading scorer, he’s already posted multiple 20-point games while shooting 42% from deep on high volume. His confidence, shot selection, and versatility have translated immediately. Thacker isn’t just holding his ow,n but he’s the type of prospect to build around.
