The sharpshooter continues to provide a huge scoring boost. When Edmond Memorial cut into Choctaw’s lead in the fourth quarter, it was Thompson who answered. Drilled back to back threes which halted the run and put Choctaw back into a comfortable lead. Even dropped an opponent with a nice dribble move before hitting one of those threes. With the focus often on the Yellowjackets who can beat opponents off the dribble, expect Thompson to have more clutch moments as a momentum swinging shooter.

Was a brought spot for the Yellowjackets in a tough loss. Thompson missed the start of the year with an injury but is a quality shooter from three. Went 4-7 from three this morning, finishing with 17 points. Should be a sign of things to come as he provides floor spacing for a Choctaw team with size and drivers.

An unfortunate knee injury cut short what was a breakout campaign for Thompson. Had a key role as a reliable sharpshooter. Along with being a spot up threat, is more than capable of making the defense pay by putting it on the deck a couple times and hitting in the mid-range. Hopeful for a full recover and Thompson being ready for a successful senior year for a team with Gold Ball aspirations.

Thompson finished 14 points, most of it coming in the second half. Shot maker from distance, providing floor spacing and looked automatic when left open. Was 4-6 from three, and hit one tough mid-range look after being ran off the line. The junior is making his own mark as part of Choctaw’s super talented and deep Class of 2026.
