After graduating one of the best players in school history, Preble Shawnee returns a trio of starters as they look to remain one of the best small town teams in southwest ohio. Morton really caught my eye as a wing who was physical, made a bunch of shots off the catch and rebounded the basketball. Looking at his frame, it’s no surprise Morton was a first team all conference football selection this fall.

A great Preble Shawnee senior class wraps up a four year run where the Arrows won conference, district and regional titles. This brings the start to a new era and Morton seems like a key piece to try and keep the momentum that the 2024 class brought the program. Morton is a strong wing who is physical in the paint and was efficient scoring it at the rim. Even stretching out and knocking down a 3-pointer as well, Morton’s motor was running all game. I thought Preble Shawnee showed a lot of grit to get back into the game after falling behind 19-2 at the end of the first quarter and Morton was a key factor in that comeback.
