Expert Analysis
Tony Roe | Prep Hoops Scout
Laube established himself as a high-level shooter early in his high school career, then had a huge summer with the Barnstormers between his sophomore and junior years, improving his all-around scoring ability, athleticism, and shot creation. The result was a huge junior season, averaging 20.0 points on 51-41-78 splits and leading the Wolves to the state tournament. He had another strong summer this year and committed to play his college ball at Augustana (SD). A quick-twitch athlete who shoots it extremely well off the dribble, Laube has a great feel and understanding of the game and does a great job subtly using his off-ball arm to create that tiny bit of space he needs to get his shot off.

The only player on this top 10 who has already committed to a program, Laube is one of three Barnstormers who will play his college ball at Augustana (SD). The Vikings are getting a dynamic scoring guard who can play both with and without the ball in his hands. He has unlimited range, and his ability to create space with creative footwork and ball-handling is rivaled by few in the state. He’s coming off a junior year in which he averaged 20.0 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.9 steals while shooting 51% from the floor and 41% from the arc.
