Brayden Helmick Brayden Helmick 6'6" | C Notre Dame | 2026 State WV continues his tear through WV single A competition posting 16 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks vs Tygarts Valley as well as 16 points, 8 rebounds vs Braxton this past week.  Helmick has been the picture of efficiency and consistency through this first half of the season posting a double double nearly every night out.

Brayden Helmick Brayden Helmick 6'6" | C Notre Dame | 2026 State WV is almost an extinct species of basketball player these days.  Helmick is our #1 Center in 2026 class and for good reason.  He’s a true center and his play backs it up.  Not necessarily a big scoring post, but definitely a productive one.  Brayden routinely fills out multiple boxes in the stat sheet nightly and most importantly averages a double double in points and rebounds.  Helmick has a big strong frame and uses to his advantage.  His college opportunities will lie within his development and footwork in the next two years but playing at the next level is certainly within reach.

Brayden Helmick Brayden Helmick 6'6" | C Notre Dame | 2026 State WV who is arguably the best small school pivot, just keeps posting solid stat lines night in and night out and providing production in not just points and rebounds.  Helmick’s last four stat lines including this past week are : 11pts/12reb/6asst/4blk, 12pts/10reb/5asst/2blk, 16pts/9reb/3asst/1blk, 12pts/11reb/3asst/3blk.   No matter the division, conference or state you play in, these are impressive and consistent stats for a true center in today’s game.

Brayden Helmick Brayden Helmick 6'6" | C Notre Dame | 2026 State WV is starting to show why Prep Hoops has him ranked as the top true Center in the 2026 class.  In two games this past week he posted 11 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks in a win vs South Harrison.  Helmick also put up 12 points, 10 rebounds with 5 assists and 2 blocks in a loss to Trinity.  Helmick appears to be living up to the top billing of the 2026 class Center.

Brayden Helmick Brayden Helmick 6'6" | C Notre Dame | 2026 State WV had quite a week last week vs two solid opponents.  First scoring just 5 points but recording 15 rebounds, 7 assists, 4 blocks and 4 steals in a win vs. Braxton County and an impressive 16 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 blocks in a loss to Lincoln.  Helmick is a monster in the middle for single A opponents and gives lots of trouble to teams in higher classes as well.  Will be a great season to track his production.
