About Braxton

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I have a high IQ of the game. Strong fundamental skillset and ball handling capabilities. Able to play PG/SG/SF if need be. Can run plays and create for my teammates. Top rebounder, defensive and offensive player on my varsity team.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a heart for the game. I've played since I could walk. My father was an assistant coach for Trimble Tech High School, in Fort Worth when I was born. I've been raised in the game. I love the game I try my best to display leadership skills. I well-liked by my team. I am one of the captions on my varsity team. As a Senior, it is my job to set the example for the underclassmen coming up.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Second year National Honor Society. Community Service Cord. Engineering Practicum certificate completion. STEM program.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Community service is important to me because it show that I am move than just an athlete. I have done a can food, clothing drive for Crowley House of Hope. I have given food to Fort Worth's Funky Town Frig. and Blood Drive through NHS. I have won the Eagle Award (Basketball) for my academics, community service, and my team leadership on and off the court.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Originally, I played for Drive Nation (Jermaine O'Neal team) from 3rd - 7th grade. I had a tibia bone fracture that kept me from preforming to my top level. My tibia broke the summer (2023) before my Junior year of high school. I was unable to showcase my skillset. However, I was release in time for my junior year varsity season. Time is not on my side, but I will make the best of my opportunity.

What type of college are you looking for?

I have played against every D1 player in my 2025 class and have competed on the top level. I know I am a D1 caliber player.

Braxton is an impactful, active combo guard that leaves his footprint all over the game up and down the court. He’s an impressive rebounder for a guard and his footwork and ballhandling ability regularly leaves his opponents on skates. He is laser-focused during his games, which I love – no excessive celebrations, no taking plays off, just on to the next play and getting the job done and done well. He can get on a streak from deep and his quick release combined with his rapid first step makes him nearly impossible to guard. He’s got impressive hang time and can make adjustments in mid-air to give himself the best look at the basket. I think James will be a major factor against Guyer on Tuesday.
