Braeden impressed with his ability to see the court. He made some of the most accurate passes I have seen in a while. He must have impressed upon the coaching staff, as he walked out of camp with an official offer from Coach Hettinga. He shot somewhere in the 50%+ range from beyond the arc last year on his high school team, and with his ability to get to the rim, I wonder how close he’ll get to 2,000 career high school points his senior year…or how far over. (If I had to guess, I would say he lingers around the 1,500 point mark now.)

Braeden is soaring up the charts, and for good reason. He has his Harbor Springs Rams hitting on ALL cylinders. The one-two backcourt punch of him and Rider Bartel Rider Bartel 5'11" | CG Harbor Springs | 2026 MI might be the best in division 3 (some may argue the entire state). He surpassed 1,000 points in his first contest as a junior and is on pace to hit 2K by the end of his career. Side note: his dad and older sister have both accomplished this feat. Shooting a whopping 50% from beyond the arc (those were as of 01/10/2025, awaiting updated figures).

has had a great season so far, surpassing 1,000 points in the first game of the season against Mancelona. He also had a team-lifting game against Charlevoix, where he dumped in 25 including two clutch free throws toward the end of the game. Today Braeden will go up against a deep Pickford team, so the Rams will need Braeden to stay out of foul trouble and shoot well from the floor to have success.

Flynn had a really impressive summer and fall and should make a lot of noise with his talented Harbor Springs squad. Flynn is a high basketball IQ type of player that makes solid decisions with the ball. He’s an excellent passer that can hit a cutter on stride.

after he had an excellent two-day performance at the Elite Camp. I mentioned him in my last article after the team camp, but I was pleasantly surprised at how well he performed against some much better competition. He is in excellent physical condition and after a full four days of run-and-gun play, he was still giving 110% all the way into the final hour of camp. Braeden and teammate

should help carry the Harbor Springs Rams team through District 67, and likely farther into a division 3 postseason run.

Braedyn Flynn stood out as one of the top guards in the gym this weekend. His vision of the entire floor makes him an excellent team leader. He excels at finding passing lanes, taking care of the basketball, and creating offense. He also performs well around the basket when it comes to rebounding. Rebounding is often pinned on the bigs, but guard rebounding can usually make a huge difference in transition, and this young man does this well.
