Scott Hankamp | Prep Hoops Scout
If I had my own Player of the Year award, Swartz would be at the final table. He’s not just an elite athlete with unteachable size and length. Swartz has also proved to be a clutch player in big moments.

There’s not much room to move near the top, but in terms of numbers AND game, Swartz has risen. He has great positional size and shooting skills. Swartz can fire away from behind the arc and can also play and see over top of the defense. He looks so solid right now that I would refuse to cap his upside. The Broncos may have pulled a heist.

Big name and a big game here. Swartz is simply one of the best in the state and it showed last night. How about a 50 spot? Swartz finished with 50 in a win against Wyoming.

Swartz has become a premier player in the state of Michigan. The Western Michigan commit has become a big shot maker and big shot taker. No doubt we’ll see that on display as the season plays on.

In my opinion, his work without the ball in his hands is one of the biggest reasons for Swartz gigantic leap over the last year or so. Shooters can shoot and athletes can score, but Swartz doesn’t settle. He’s willing to move and hustle off the ball and MAKE himself open, not just find himself open.

How exactly at the high school level do you guard an athletic 6-7 shooter? Eventually it won’t just be a high school problem, because I think coaches at the next level will struggle with Swartz as well. He has a swift and pure shot that he can put up over the top of defenders.

things in Sandusky. In the first 2 games, he dropped 78 total points and grabbed 23 rebounds. That’s just another level type of output. He’s a tall and long shooter that makes it really tough to defend or even close out hard on his jumper. Swartz wasn’t done though, in games 3 and 4 he scored63 points and grabbed 22 boards.

– Visited the University of Dayton.
Swartz is a player that has seen his stock absolutely skyrocket over the last 4 months or so. He’s simply put his game in another gear. Swartz has shown that he’s just a good old fashioned scorer that can hit shots from anywhere in any given situation.

? Let’s start here….you better pick him up at the volleyball line because he has that kind of range. Better have some help behind you too, because Swartz can put the ball on the floor and create his own looks.
