stamped his name on the basketball game Wednesday afternoon at Happy Valley’s gym. Harris played the side of the Gap’s 2-3 zone defense. He probably prefers defending in man, but the team runs the 2-3 and he rebounded quite well out of it. Brady’s worst stat of the first quarter was a two in the turnover column. One was a suspicious travel call, but the other was a clean steal by East Ridge. Harris drew his first foul with 4:44 left in the 1Q as he posted up and East Ridge sent help underneath to double the feed. Cumberland Gap ran a clever inbounds pass to feed Harris on the post immediately thereafter, he caught it high and swiveled to finish under pressure. Two plays later Cumberland Gap fed Harris with a lob over the fronting defender and the result was the same.

completely outclassed the visiting Hancock County team Tuesday night, scoring the game’s first five points and collecting the first rebound. The hosting Panthers hopped out to an 8-0 lead within the first 110 seconds. Harris exceled at multiple Prep Hoop events over the last two years. His willingness to take on new challenges speaks to his ambition. Harris was stronger than every Hancock County player in addition to matching each with his speed. The dominance did not provide the perfect lens under which to evaluate him as he was simply so much better than the foes. Still, Harris is clearly a volume scorer in both capability and mindset. Two baskets in a row failed to pacify him. He showed a hunger for more and produced. Harris entered the game averaging 23.5 ppg and 7.5 rpg and Tuesday how demonstrated the reasons why.

surpassed the prestigious 1,000-point plateau. Thanks, in part, to his freshman season Brady accumulated points when a lot of high school hoopers are still learning fundamental skills. He was an elite rebounder and an impressive scorer very early in his enrollment. That trend only persisted the last couple of years. At this pace 2,000 is possible.
