He moves well without the ball, creates space, finishes through contact, and has the footwork and balance to score over bigger defenders in the lane. He is a polished three-level threat. Last season, Focht shot 50% from beyond the arc. He runs the floor well, processes the game quickly, and doesn’t make mistakes when the ball is in his hands.

plays with the polish of an upperclassman. Offensively, he’s a true three-level threat. In transition, he makes the right decision at full speed, while in the half court he moves well off the ball. Focht is also stronger than he looks at the point of attack, using balance and body control to absorb contact and still finish. Add in a team-first and doing the little things correctly, and you get a poised lead guard whose IQ should translate to immediate production and leadership this year.
