About Blake

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Because of my height, in high school I have been forced to play more inside than outside. I am very capable of doing the dirty work inside, but I can also dice up a team from the mid-range and the three point line. When all else fails, dribble drive and get to the line. Defensively, I have work hard at getting my body stronger to attack the boards and defend against any big man that I face.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Hard work is a cliche, but I have worked to dedicate myself not only physically, but mentally as well. Alone time is key. Watching film, studying, and putting the time in the gym. I am very dedicated to this game, a loyal teammate and a good student and I would love to continue playing at the next level.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am a team captain, and have volunteered for the CRIM, worked card shows and youth team Camps. Like BO said the TEAM, the TEAM, the TEAM! My personal stats mean nothing as long as my team has success.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Being a starter at the lower levels, and trying to fight for playing time at the varsity level. This drove me to work as hard as I could on my body, mind and skills. That work has paid off.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for school that will allow me to continue my education, while playing basketball. I am interested an Engineering, but also Education as a second choice.
