-Came away impressed with Kalaw’s leadership, IQ, and communication during our Expo this past month. Kalaw understands angles and uses pump fakes/jabs to throw his defender off balance before attacking the paint. But again the intangibles really stood out as a floor general that communicates ball screens, puts his body on the line for 50/50 balls and drawing charges, and picks up his teammates both on the floor and on the sideline. Would like to see him add more burst with the ball in his hands and turn to sprint to meet his matchup at the spot instead of sliding with his man. Should be a key piece for SJCP this upcoming season.
