Federico looked like a veteran out there and showed that he belonged on the floor. He plays a physical style of basketball and thrives when touching the paint on the attack, often bull-rushing his way to the hoop. Federico frequently made the most of second-chance scoring opportunities and showed flashes from behind the arc. He is a ballhawk who always seems to find himself in good spots to make plays, and I liked how he was able to create opportunities for his teammates with his passing. I would like to see Federico play off two feet more and utilize jump stops when attacking, as that should help the game slow down and become easier for him. I’m looking forward to watching his high school career unfold over the next four seasons.

With his brother bursting onto high-major radars as a national breakout in the 2028 class, Federico is showing he may not be too far behind while establishing himself as one of the most promising incoming freshmen across the state. Having cut his teeth on the freshman team as an 8th grader this past winter, he looks ready to come right in and make a splash with the varsity, boasting a well-rounded two-way skillset with positional size, IQ, and confidence to match. Federico is able to slide across the positional spectrum with his shotmaking being the primary lynchpin of his game. He’s still in the early stages of his physical development but looks to possess quite the upside as his body begins to mature over time.

Federico used his sheer size and strength to consistently bully his way to the basket, proving to be a difficult matchup whenever he got downhill. Despite being a rising freshman, he is already physically imposing and was able to hold his own against older, smaller upperclassmen throughout the event. He did a nice job positioning himself on the glass, routinely finding the right spots to secure rebounds and create extra possessions. Federico also flashed some intriguing perimeter potential, showing he can step out and knock down shots from beyond the arc. With his combination of size, physicality, and developing skill set, he has a very high ceiling, and I’m looking forward to following his progression over the next four years.
