My mentality as a basketball player focuses on leadership and resilience. I lead by example, putting in hard work to inspire my teammates, while also offering vocal encouragement when needed. I thrive in challenging situations, using them as opportunities to grow on and off the court. Most importantly, I enjoy the game, ensuring that laughter and passion drive my commitment to improve every day.

Yes, I am actively involved in several organizations. I am a member of a church in my community, which allows me to engage with my community. Additionally, I serve on the student council, where I help facilitate student initiatives and events. I am also a proud member of the National Junior Honor Society, recognizing my academic achievements and commitment to service.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed strong leadership and teamwork skills as the oldest of five siblings, which has taught me responsibility and the power of example. My involvement in church and youth organizations has enhanced my sense of community and service. Playing multiple sports growing up has fostered a competitive spirit and the ability to work well with diverse groups, promoting camaraderie and support.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, I have faced significant challenges as an athlete. Despite usually being a standout athlete, I struggled during a travel baseball season, which was humbling. I’ve experienced both successful teams and those that struggled to win. Living in North Dakota makes it difficult to gain exposure to larger schools and access camps. These challenges have taught me resilience and perseverance.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that offers the opportunity to play D1 basketball, where I can compete against the best talent in the sport. I want a program that values both athletic and academic excellence, allowing me to grow as a player and a student while pursuing my ultimate goal of reaching the highest level of competition.
