About Austin

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

A 6'8” stretch big plays as a floor-spacing, skill-forward hybrid: pulls defenders out of the paint with reliable shooting, keep the ball moving with quick reads, and can attack closeouts off the dribble. Instead of living on the block, they operate in pick-and-pop, short-roll playmaking, and trail-three actions—using versatility and basketball IQ to create mismatches and keep the offense flow

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is calm, confident, and relentless. Big moments don’t speed me up—I lean into them. I show up early, put in the work daily, and stay locked in whether things are going well or not. My body language is steady and positive, and always focused on the next play, not the last one. Coaches trust me because I am consistent, resilient, and ready when it matters.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I played on the Puma circuit last season as a member of Eugene Elite 15U squad. And I just got picked up to play on the 3SSB circuit this upcoming season as a member of Tru Game Select NW 16U.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’m always a team-first player and will do whatever it takes to help the team win. I stay involved in the community by helping referee younger kids and assisting at lower-level tournaments. I’m continuing to grow as a leader—being a sophomore starter on varsity, I’m still finding my voice—but I already lead through my actions and communication. I have a very high basketball IQ, can recognize what

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, I’ve faced challenges—especially continuing to grow and adjusting to my body as it changes. I’m still developing physically and haven’t fully found my stride yet, which requires constant adaptation. Through it all, I stay patient, keep putting in the work, and focus on improving every day, trusting that consistency will pay off as everything comes together.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m open to playing at any college where I can continue to grow—both as a player and a person. I’m looking for a program that feels like a family, believes in development, and gives me the opportunity to showcase my talents while competing at a high level every day.
