Burns has come so far in the last year or 2. He’s a tough matchup with his height, length and ball skills. Burns works really well and gets to the rim off a downhill right to left crossover. He can finish with both hands and on both sides of the rim. Burns will be an asset on defense tonight, with his ability to help and wall up on the dribble drive.

Burns has all the traits needed to be a consistent dunk threat. He has great positional size, strength and length. This means defenses always have to be aware of the dunk threat. Burns can power it home from under the rim.

I saw Burns for the first time in Grand Rapids on the Prep Hoops Circuit this summer and he was more than impressive. I’m very comfortable predicting an absurdly huge season from him. Burns has a next level frame. He’s simply tall and strong. But he’s a matchup nightmare with his ability to handle, shoot and work outside-in or inside-out.

Burns is a very intriguing prospect with a terrific upside in his game. He fits the position-less basketball mold very well. He’s very effective when used as a big and strong guard. Burns can and will be a matchup nightmare for opponents with his versatility.

Burns is a prospect on the rise that definitely deserves next level looks. He has tremendous positional size and length. This gives him the ability to guard multiple positions, possibly all 5 at the high school level. Burns looks like he’s on pace for a huge senior season.
