continued to show off his passing skills at the point guard position while showing off his scoring prowess too. He made sick dimes in the half-court, finding cutters and shooters while making their lives easier with on-target looks. He even pulled off a behind-the-back pass on the move which stood out. He also looked comfortable getting to the cup for layups, using his body through traffic and quickness to get ahead of on-ball defenders. The crossover dribble move in his bag was also really effective in getting the job done, as he was able to create space for himself and take advantage of it in stride.

looked the part of a facilitator at the point guard position. He was making dimes both in transition and on the move in the half-court. He was finding cutters with ease with the right velocity on said passes. Even when the pressure came from the defense, he navigated it well and kept his dribble alive to find the open man on the perimeter. Additionally, he competed on the defensive end by getting into the grill of the ball handler and displaying great footwork by keeping his body in front when moving laterally.

Abeles-Tierney impressed this summer while running the show for Project Triple Threat in the Hoop Group Showcase League. Another true lead guard that does a great job of running an offense, Abeles-Tierney did a little bit of everything this summer to prove that he’s a well-rounded prospect on both ends of the floor. Offensively, he’s a capable scorer that can consistently knock down shots from behind the arc but is probably best as a facilitator that can get into the teeth of the defense off the bounce. He’s shifty in tight spaces, seemingly has the ball on a string, and does a good job of spraying the ball to shooters once he’s gotten the defense to collapse. Defensively, he’s a solid on-ball defender that does a good job of creating turnovers and has a knack for forcing balls loose off back-taps. He’s a definite college prospect that should be at the top of his positional chart for most D3s in New England.

Abeles-Tierney has the ball on a string and is incredibly shifty. He’s only 5-foot-10, but he has great control of the rock and can run an offense as a result. He was getting into the paint at will all day and was able to make no-look dump-down passes to bigs for easy layups. He’s also a knock down three-point shooter who can make them off the catch or off the dribble. D3 prospect.
