Huckaby was a prospect who I really enjoyed his toughness and motor. Stepping up to the challenge to defend bigs on the opposing team, Huckaby was not afraid to guard players much taller than him and wall up to force misses and box out to secure rebounds. Huckaby also scored off cuts as he was one of the main guys Cj McClure was finding with his passes. Huckaby already has a stronger frame than a lot of other players at the camp, giving him a bit of a head start when looking at who will be able to handle the physicality of the high school game. Gahanna has tremendously deep 2029 and 2030 classes but Huckaby could compete for varsity minutes as their core gets older and develops.
