Ari is a patient, skilled combo guard that doesn’t back down to any challenge on either end of the floor. He’s excellent under pressure – I saw him successfully navigate through incredibly tough full-court defense multiple times. His patience comes in especially handy on the offensive end. He sees the floor incredibly well and can quickly identify what the opposition is giving in order to capitalize on it. He’s a thorough communicator and never hangs his head after a bad shot or mistake. Zuniga let everyone know how good he was in the clutch by delivering one of the biggest highlights of the weekend – a buzzer-beating three in the championship game to seal the tournament victory for his squad by one point.

Offensively, Ari possesses a lethal combination of a polished floater in the lane and a reliable perimeter shot-making ability. He also demonstrated his ability to set up his teammates, ensuring that his team remains actively involved in the offensive flow. With the ball in his hands, Ari has the power to influence the pace of the offense in various ways.

What’s Next for Ari?
Ari is currently in the 8th grade this upcoming fall, and I believe he’ll take his game to new heights as time passes before, he enters high school. His continued development will only enhance his recruitment when the time comes. His guard skills are exceptionally advanced for his age, and I wouldn’t be surprised to hear his name mentioned more frequently in the future.

Controlling the ball majority of the time on offense Ari made good decisions playmaking to his teammates when he didn’t have open opportunities to score.
