How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
Antonio Holloway is a 5’8” guard in the Class of 2030 from New Haven, CT. He plays with high energy on both ends of the floor and competes fearlessly against older players. Antonio uses his quick first step to attack the basket and finish through contact, and he’s developing a consistent outside jumper. He’s confident in transition, makes smart passes, and takes pride in defending on the perimeter
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I’m a hard worker who stays locked in on getting better every day. I play with confidence but always stay coachable and hungry to learn.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
Active in academics and STEM programs, including writing for the school newspaper and attending Notre Dame West Haven Robotics Camp to learn building and programming robots. Also volunteer at school events.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I’ve developed confidence and resilience by pushing myself on the basketball court and in STEM challenges. My curiosity and problem-solving grew while building robots at Notre Dame STEM Camp, and collaborating with peers taught me adaptability and communication skills. I also enjoy mentoring younger students and helping out in school activities, which strengthened my sense of responsibility
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
At CP3, I faced some of the best middle school players in the country, many bigger, faster, and stronger than me. Despite the challenge, I stayed focused, gave my best effort, and competed at a high level throughout. This experience taught me resilience, confidence, and how to perform under pressure.
What type of college are you looking for?
I aim to compete at a top program like Duke, but I’m grateful for any opportunity to grow, contribute, and play at a high level.
