A true low-post threat, Andrew started off the event with a dominant performance against Minneapolis South. South just didn’t have an answer for him whenever he was able to get a touch on the block, as he has the ability to pivot in either direction, and the touch to finish with either hand. Keeps the ball high and tight in traffic, and does a great job of gathering his balance before going up, allowing him to finish just about everything inside. Even when South was making it a priority to try to limit his touches, his fight to create a seal allowed him to still get fed by his guards.

I watched Andrew earlier in the spring and came away impressed, and this past weekend against a tough D1 Minnesota Gold team he stood out once again. At times matched up with one of the top ranked players in the state’s 2025 class, Andrew was producing at a high level in the paint. He’s an “old school” big man who goes to work with his back to the basket, able to create angles with his footwork or play with physicality to get deep post position. Showed he can finish over 6’8+ size with comfort. Also showed some touch with a turnaround jumper along the baseline. Defensively he does a nice job of holding his ground on the block and was pulling in rebounds in bulk.

Andrew Nolde had an impressive showing with Minnesota Select . The 6’9 big was constantly looking to get the ball on the block, and when he did there wasn’t much defenders could do to stop him. Nolde could score with a simple turn over his left shoulder, or utilize his footwork to get his defender in the air and score from there. Had a couple of really nice up-and-under moves to create scoring chances. I liked how hard he was working on the offensive glass to create putback opportunities for himself. Good touch around the basket at 6’9. Intriguing player I’ll be keeping an eye out for over the rest of the spring/summer.
