Persistent and nonstop in getting downhill and attacking driving angles with purpose and force, Murphy displayed his ability to get in the lane and effectively finish around the basket while also allowing some of that downhill aggression to open up additional offense at the free throw line for himself.

Particularly in transition opportunities, Murphy took advantage of long rebounds and the opposing defense not being set coupled with St. Joe’s Metuchen’s emphasis to produce offense in the open floor to get ahead of the defense and convert on a number of easy looks at the basket on the offensive end.

Murphy thrived in a role that saw him be effective as a spot up shooter, an additional ball handler, and a connective passer all while also pressuring the ball on the defensive end of the floor.
