Airen Coombs Airen Coombs 6'4" | SF/PF La Vega | 2027 TX is a high-flying, glass-dominant forward who brings serious energy at both ends. He uses his length and vertical pop to finish above the rim, devour second-chance opportunities, and block or alter shots on the defensive end. Coombs also has more skill than his highlight plays suggest, with solid footwork, nice touch around the lane, and enough ball-handling to push the break after a rebound. His post game is a real weapon against smaller defenders, and his defensive toughness lets him take on different matchups. With his athleticism, motor, and willingness to do the dirty work, he is a prospect with real upside as a college forward.

✅ Explosive above-the-rim finisher
✅ Relentless rebounder and rim protector
✅ Strong post footwork and touch

Airen is a high-flying, glass dominant forward that makes winning decisions while opening up opportunities for his teammates. He attracts plenty of attention down low with his impressive length, footwork, and shooting touch. He can elevate over the toughest of defenders and uses his length and verticality incredibly well on both ends of the court. He devours second and third-chance opportunities under the rim and is an absolute handful to game plan for effectively.

Airen is an explosive wing that makes an impact on both ends and has a terrific finishing ability. Whether it’s completing an alley-oop, dunking on his defender, or stacking rebounds – one of his specialties is making massive noise in the paint. He has some nice length, and he uses that on the defensive end to block and alter opposing shots with regularity. His speed is next level, and he has a solid ballhandling ability, which makes him extremely dangerous on the fast break. His post game jumps out at me as special as he backs down defender after defender with ease due to his strength, IQ, and beautiful touch in the lane.

Airen is a quick, versatile forward with impressive verticality that can make a positive impact for his team in so many different areas. He’s an absolute menace on the fast break and his defenders basically need to play him perfectly in those situations to avoid getting dunked on and picking up a foul at the same time. He can defend the paint incredibly effectively – he’s not the longest forward you’ll come across, but his vertical ability allows him to consistently stifle opponents that may even be bigger than him. He’s automatic when it comes to boards on both ends and gets his team second and third-chance opportunities regularly. He’s also one of the best players I’ve seen timing-wise on defense when it comes to blocking shots – he never falls for pump fakes and always has the ability to place himself in perfect position to send his opponent’s shot soaring the other direction.
