Expert Analysis
Marcus Ebow | Prep Hoops Scout
Aiden was one of the most consistent players throughout the weekend and he carried that same energy into the championship game. Spurrier has a polished and disciplined tool set. He plays fundamentally sound and is extremely productive catching and attacking in the half court. Truly one of the best shooters in his class, Aiden knocks down shots and came in hot in the championship game drilling multiple 3’s versus the 3rd coast Bucks. He did everything in his control to win the game but fell just short. Spurrier definitely improved his stock at the South Finals

Spurrier was easily the biggest surprise of the day, getting whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted it. He was a problem all over the court, getting to the cup, splashing triples, and “dancing” with the rock to create space. He’s a court-savvy guard who makes the game look effortless and fun, consistently feeding his teammates when the defense collapsed.

Exceptional playmaking lead guard who oozes confidence and control. Spurrier’s ball handling was tight and shifty, constantly twisting and turning his hips to shield off defenders and maintain a live dribble under pressure. He manipulated space with craft, sealing defenders behind him or drawing help-side rotations that he turned into well-timed kick-out assists. As a scorer, Spurrier showed excellent decision-making, taking what the defense gave him, whether that meant rising up for early-offense pull-ups from deep or attacking downhill with poise. He played with a blend of flair and function, elevating both his individual output and the rhythm of his team.

Read EvaluationDevontae Cobb | Prep Hoops Scout
A go-to scoring threat from all three levels, Spurrier consistently delivered, whether creating off the bounce or popping out for spot-up looks when defenders sagged off. His footwork was elite, always squared and balanced, no matter how he entered his shot, backpedaling, sliding, hopping, or 1-2 stepping into the catch. His readiness to shoot was automatic, and his ability to draw defensive attention opened up drive-and-dish reads to cutters. He constantly leveraged his scoring gravity to manipulate defenders and create for others.
