has been on our radar since entering high school last year and while he’s bounced around a good bit, there’s no denying the talent and upside present. Aponte is one of the best shooters in the class. He shoots the three-ball at a high clip and also likes to utilize a deadly one dribble pull-up. Aponte has a noticeably impressive wingspan and a strong build, both traits that could help him excel defensively as he continues to improve on that end.

The Class A D-I Freshman of the Year at Galloway flirted with Osborne, playing with the Cardinals at GBCA Live before eventually finding his way over to Eagle’s Landing, part of a talented incoming class. Aponte was one of the state’s most effective rookies, averaging 14.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.1 assists while going 79-203 (39%) from three.

Aponte is a great shooter, able to knock down catch and shoot looks or pull up off the dribble. His wingspan is noticeably impressive and I think he’s got a ton of upside as an effective 3 and D guy.

Aiden Aponte-Maxwell seems to have found an excellent fit at Galloway and is making an impact early on. It looks like he’s been able to adjust to the speed of varsity basketball fairly quickly and his scoring numbers are proof of that. He’s averaging 18.6 ppg through the first 3 games and has provided a second scoring option alongside Amir Arrington. Aponte’s 3-and-D ability have really helped him become effective right away and allow him to be an impact guy in most basketball environments.
