Another player who has taken a huge leap as a senior, Shaker went from a player who was coveted by top Division III programs in the state during the summer to having multiple Division II programs offering him before picking Walsh to continue his basketball career. Shaker has improved as an athlete and has a knack for scoring in the paint. Also capable of making the occasional perimeter shot, Shaker will be able to play the four or the five for the Cavaliers. I think Brunswick has a chance to win the region after falling in a thriller to Saint Ignatius last season.

Shaker played maybe the best game I’ve seen him have in his career in a high-profile environment. A versatile big, Shaker can play either the 4 or the 5 at the college level with his rebounding, ball handling and ability to move his feet defensively. With a good feel for the game, the ability to pass the ball or finish at the rim, Shaker checks a lot of boxes that college programs are looking for in a big. Already getting a ton of interest from top Division III programs, scholarship teams are also taking notice of Shaker’s talents.

I’ve watched Shaker a few times and Saturday was his most productive outing I’ve seen. A wing forward who moves his feet well and has some defensive versatility, Shaker can defend a few different types of players. Saturday was also the best I’ve seen Shaker shoot the ball on the perimeter, making shots off the catch. If he’s able to space the floor with his size, it’ll allow the Blue Devil guards the space to drive and score in the paint. I also thought Shaker showed some high IQ with a couple nice passes and cuts. I expect Shaker to make himself a nice target for regional Division III programs.
