About Adonis

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I have a strong pull-up jumper off penetration and excel at handling smaller guards with my dribble. I play with control during possessions, focusing on taking open shots off the catch. As a tough ballhandler, I contribute by passing, setting screens, or cutting to the basket when needed. I consistently play intelligent defense, avoiding unnecessary risks, and always maintain a team-first mindset.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is shaped by resilience, fearlessness, relentlessness, obsession, and passion, forming the foundation of my unstoppable drive. I possess an unyielding ability to overcome challenges, the bravery to confront adversity without hesitation, a relentless pursuit of excellence, an obsessive commitment to my goals, and an unwavering passion that fuels every aspect of my life.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I play for USAWY Club Team in Wyoming and Colorado United on a National Level. I have received Natrona County Sportsmanship and Student-Athlete of the Year Awards.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Strong communication is central to my approach to teamwork in basketball and life. My leadership is rooted in my faith in Christ, who gives me the strength to overcome challenges and achieve anything. This foundation allows me to embrace the understanding that my identity is not defined by outcomes, enabling me to remain focused on supporting my teammates through adversity.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

At just 7 years old, I underwent major surgery to treat a severe staph infection and osteomyelitis, which required multiple procedures, hospitalization, and a PICC line for recovery. This experience, though challenging, revealed my strength and resilience at a young age. It taught me valuable lessons about caring for my body, healing, and fueled a determination to reach my goals.

What type of college are you looking for?

As a student-athlete, I am looking for a college that aligns with my academic, athletic, and personal goals. Several key factors are shaping my decision including location, athletic program, academic excellence, growth opportunities and campus life.
