About Kaleb
Expert Analysis
Max Wagner | Prep Hoops Scout
There was no stopping Kaleb from getting to the rim on Tuesday night. The senior guard out of The Prairie School has such an explosive first step that allows him to blow by his man off the dribble and explode to the hoop. Despite the speed that he can attack the basket at, Kaleb was remaining under control which allowed him to plan out his angles to get around defenders, while also knowing when to pull up and hit a floater when the gaps weren’t there. Defensively he was great at jumping lazy passes and turning those steals into quick points on the other end. Finished with 27 points before taking an early seat in the win over Kenosha Reuther.

Kaleb got off to a slow start but picked it up as the game went on. He’s a two way guard who excels at creating turnovers with his off-ball defense, waiting for the perfect opportunities to jump long passes and take off going the other way. Kaleb is at his best getting out in the open floor where he’s able to use his quickness and strength to get to the rack and finish. In the half-court he found success driving into dangerous areas and locating open shooters on the perimeter. Finished with a well-rounded 10 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals in the win.

Kaleb started off his high school career as more of a slasher who used his quickness and strength to get to the rim and finish against size. This past weekend he looked a lot more comfortable on the perimeter as a shooter though as he showcased his expanded game. Not only was he knocking down threes but he was able to get to his spots in the mid-range and stop on a dime to hit a couple of pull-up jumpers. Kaleb averaged 8.6 ppg last season for The Prairie School, and will be a key player for them this winter.
