EJ is a hard working wing willing to play in whatever role his coach asks of him. He has a long frame with solid athleticism which allows him to make plays attacking the basket. Holt crashed the glass hard on both ends of the floor, hustled in transition to pick up some easy buckets, and showed he can get to the rim with straight line drives as well. EJ is a scrappy defender who can guard bigger wings or smaller guards with how well he moves his feet.
