An up-and-coming sports journalism talent, Joe Esquivel-Murphy has been involved in sports writing since 2015, and joined Prep Hoops Next in 2020 as our Lead Scout/Correspondent in the Northeast region. Previously, Joe worked for CommRadio at Penn State University until his graduation in 2018, and has also written for a number of respected publications to begin his professional career. A decorated player at Ranney (NJ) School where he scored more than 1,000 points in his playing career, Joe has most recently returned to his roots, covering the high school basketball scene in New Jersey as a Senior Scout with Prep Hoops New Jersey.

Tom Keller brings over five year’s worth of basketball experience to Prep Hoops from the scouting service world. ELITE High School Scouting is a regional scouting service that has clients in the NCAA and NBA. After a brief stint with Prep Hoops in 2020, Tom has now been contributing to the site since 2024. Unlike most scouts, there are no boundaries for Tom’s coverage — you can find him in the gym from the western half of Ohio all the way up to the New England area, sometimes all in the span of one week.

Ari Rosenfeld is a highly-respected scout who has been embedded in the grassroots scene in the Mid Atlantic and nationally for over a decade. Starting out in his native Philadelphia region with City of Basketball Love and later co-founding the Delaware Valley Hoops Report, Ari has spent the past five years spanning the country for his nationally-renowned scouting service, ELITE High School Scouting. A graduate of Syracuse University's Newhouse School of Public Communications, Ari is eager to combine his basketball expertise with his skill and experience in writing to shine a light on prospects across the country.

Ralph Jean-Francois brings multiple years of experience at the grassroots basketball level to Prep Hoops from a coaching, scouting, and player evaluation perspective. Jean-Francois served on staff at St. Benedict's Prep as an Assistant Coach for two seasons from 2022-2024. Jean-Francois is also currently on staff as an Assistant Coach with one of New Jersey's most historic AAU programs, the NJ Roadrunners. Jean-Francois has an extreme passion for scouting, player evaluation, and film breakdown. Ralph Jean-Francois has contributed to Prep Hoops since 2024 and currently resides in Northern New Jersey.
