Michael Schneiderman | Prep Hoops Scout
Michael has had a lifelong passion for basketball shaped by many years of experience as both a player and coach. His playing career began at a young age and extended through high school and into the collegiate level including a season of Division I Junior College basketball before a career-ending injury. He went on to earn two Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Management and Finance graduating Magna cum laude from North Park University. He then transitioned into coaching at the junior high, junior varsity, varsity, and AAU levels for 7 seasons. At the end of 2024, Michael took the opportunity to start scouting for Prep Hoops and has been doing so throughout the state of Illinois since. Michael follows statewide talent focusing beyond a box score and identifying players who demonstrate strong character, the right mindset, and joy they find in playing the game. He takes pride in using his extensive experience helping athletes advance their pathways to the next level. In addition to his scouting services he provides to Prep Hoops, Michael serves as the Athletic Director at Tri-County Christian School overseeing all athletic programming. He also helps coordinate his hometown’s annual 3-on-3 tournament which promotes a longstanding tradition of original grassroots basketball.
