Michael Schneiderman | Prep Hoops Scout
Michael has a deep-rooted passion for basketball with over 30 years of experience in the game. His playing career began at a very young age which continued into high school and beyond at the collegiate level with a year of Division 1 Junior College Basketball before a career-ending injury. After earning two Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Economics and Finance from North Park University, Michael transitioned into coaching. His start to his coaching career began at the elementary level where he was a volunteer at a local park district for one season. Building on this foundation, he then coached for four additional seasons at the junior high, junior varsity, and varsity levels across two schools. He also contributed to an AAU program for two consecutive years where he worked to develop athletes’ skills and help them advance in their basketball journeys. Michael is deeply committed to player development and actively follows regional talent in hopes of ensuring that aspiring athletes have the exposure needed to take their skills to the next level. He takes great pride in using his extensive experience as both a player and coach to give back to the game and seeing athletes succeed. Michael believes scouting goes well beyond a box score and is more defined by finding players who demonstrate the right mindset, work ethic, and joy they find in playing the game. By fostering these qualities, Michael hopes to build the necessary connections for future college basketball players and is excited to be a contributor to the Prep Hoops Community.
