Kevin Spencer | Prep Hoops Scout
Kevin Spencer joined Prep Hoops in April 2025, bringing with him eight years of scouting experience and a deep passion for the game. Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, Kevin grew up immersed in the rich basketball culture of the Pacific Northwest. Following talent from the Portland and Seattle areas started as something innate in his household and turned into a deep-rooted hobby. Though he played baseball rather than basketball in college, basketball has always been Kevin’s true passion, especially analyzing players and breaking down their game. He earned his degree in Business Marketing with an emphasis in Sports Marketing from California State University, Fresno. Now based in the Bay Area and working in tech, Kevin continues to stay active in the grassroots basketball, as he regularly attending tournaments throughout Northern California to evaluate rising talent.
