Greg spent years coaching youth sports, instilling values of dedication, teamwork, playing with heart and having fun along the way. He sees his scouting efforts as a way to continue to help athletes advance, should they have the desire and skillset to do so. He has set his focus on creating visibility for athletes to continue their education and athletic careers, whether they are suited for community college, NCAA Division 1 or anywhere in between. Using a data-driven approach, Greg sets multi-factor baselines to identify high-potential players he has not seen, employing regressive analytics to validate his model. He then evaluates players through live action and game film, often discovering new talent along the way. An accomplished three-sport athlete at Marathon High School in Wisconsin, Greg understands the importance of identifying and supporting talent from small towns. Now a scout and content contributor for Prep Hoops, he wants to ensure deserving players are recognized regardless of the size of their city or school. Based in La Crosse, WI, Greg primarily covers players in southwestern and west-central Wisconsin, while also attending tournaments in the area throughout the year, and Prep Hoops events during the AAU season.
