Frank Mantesta | Prep Hoops Scout
Frank was the first scout hired to launch the New York site for Prep Hoops. He came to Prep Hoops after serving as an assistant varsity coach at Half Hollow Hills East , St Anthony’s and Deer Park high school on Long Island. He helped these schools in 8 years to get to 1 county final at Deer Park in his only season there, a league title at Hills East and 2 quarterfinal appearances in the county playoffs in both years there. In 2005 he was an assistant at St Anthony’s on Long Island where they won a class A State Federation championship. In his 5 years at St. Anthony’s they went to the states 3 out of 5 years. He did some freelance work for New York scout.com as an assistant scout. There he did some of the first reports on Kemba Walker and Tobias Harris as well as many other high major D1 players.
