Elan Muniz | Prep Hoops Scout
Elan Muniz joins Prep Hoops as a scout with a strong background in North Carolina basketball as both a collegiate player and player-development coach. Muniz competed at Pfeiffer University, where he contributed to a USA South Conference Championship team, and later at Davidson-Davie Community College, one of the nation’s premier NJCAA programs and a consistent producer of high-level talent.  Before stepping into scouting, Muniz trained 30+ athletes across the region, focusing on skill development, shooting consistency, and competitive readiness. His experience working hands-on with developing players gives him an eye for identifying translatable skills, growth indicators, and long-term upside. Muniz has been involved in the grassroots scene for years, coaching at youth camps and mentoring players from elementary grades through college prospects. His scouting perspective is shaped by real on-court experience, a strong understanding of player roles, and a deep appreciation for what it takes to compete at the next level.
