Reason for the Ranking (Top 100)
EDITOR’S NOTE: Two players left the Tennessee Class of 2021 rankings after this article was posted. Therefore, everybody’s ranking is now two better/higher than it was.
Time to revisit the Class of 2021 rankings and adjust to account for the player’s growth or stagnation. Rankings are subjective and PrepHoops.com ranks purely upon potential and where the player will be at their basketball peak. Production factors in only when helping prove the potential is greater or lesser. Why did we rank these guys? Why are they at this spot? Take a look at several Class of 2021 prospects and learn a little about their reputation

#96 Jaylen Bussy (Clarksville Northeast)
Bouncy forward that compensates for his lack of height with springs and aggression. Bussey averaged 2.0 offensive rebounds last winter. This statistical column is a very good reflection of hunger. Effort is consistent. Great teammate.

#97 Josh Cole Josh Cole 6'1" | SG East Nashville | 2021 State TN (East Nashville)
Cole is a curious prospect. He is versatile enough to tug down a rebound in traffic or knockdown the occasional three-pointer. Is he a college guard? Tough to tell. With East Nashville most games Cole was kind of a junkyard dog. The athleticism is there. He can defend the wing position. Limitations include handle and size for whatever position he plays. Very bouncy. Aggressive.
#98 Antonio Anthony Antonio Anthony 5'11" | PG Pearl Cohn | 2021 State TN (Pearl-Cohn)
Naturally strong. Though he played a complimentary role behind Tyrone Marshall Tyrone Marshall 6'5" | SG Pearl Cohn | 2020 State TN and MiQuan Tucker MiQuan Tucker 6'5" | SF Pearl-Cohn | 2020 State TN , Anthony is really steady on the ball. His defense comes naturally. Since the maturing guard plays both ways well, he appears to be a small college guard. Anthony is a hidden gem for one of the best AA teams in the state. Remember Pearl-Cohn climbed to the top of the Class AA rankings last winter. They advanced to the state tournament. Anthony was not the star, but he was impactful.
#99 Harrison Kelly Harrison Kelly 6'0" | SG Christian Brothers | 2021 State TN (Christian Brothers)
Strong outside shooter. Harrison is a remarkable catch-and-shoot guy. Christian Brothers is deep with guards ( Chandler Jackson Chandler Jackson 6'5" | CG Christian Brothers | 2022 State #87 Nation TN , Reese McMullen Reese McMullen 6'2" | SG Christian Brothers | 2021 State TN , Eli Federman Eli Federman 5'10" | PG Christian Brothers | 2021 State TN ), so Kelly does not get a ton of touches. When he does get the ball, Harrison is extremely efficient. Kelly gets dinged for his thin frame and only average handle. His college chances look like D3. There are not many better catch-and-shoot guys in Tennessee.
#100 Colin Scifres Colin Scifres 6'3" | SG Christian Brothers | 2021 State TN (Christian Brothers)
Scifres competed at the 2019 Fall @PrepHoopsTN Combine. His ability to amble around the court was nice, but the shooting touch and size for his position made him a clear All-Star. Where will Scifres land after high school? Tough to tell. He was buried on the depth chart at CBHS last winter. Scifres can play though. His muscular development can and should improve soon. Here is part of his evaluation from last year.

College Projection: D3+Colin Scifres Colin Scifres 6'3" | SG Christian Brothers | 2021 State TN is one of several solid players on Christian Brothers’ team. Chandler Jackson Chandler Jackson 6'5" | CG Christian Brothers | 2022 State #87 Nation TN , Reese McMullen Reese McMullen 6'2" | SG Christian Brothers | 2021 State TN , Harrison Kelly Harrison Kelly 6'0" | SG Christian Brothers | 2021 State TN , and probably 1-2 more CBHS players beyond Scifres are destined to formally continue playing basketball beyond high school.
Scifres, though not a household name statewide, is deserving of deep respect. The footwork is tremendous as a lead guard or integral scoring and facilitating wing. He projects as a D3 scoring guard with secondary ball-handler capabilities. Scifres does not have many offensive weaknesses and might be able to compete at the Division II level. NAIA is a certainty considering his height for the position, shooting skills, and general comprehension of the game. Scifres thinks the game smoothly, making him a wonderfully adept player in all facets of the game.
He plays with a high motor and rarely takes a low percentage shot.
Areas for improvement are upper body strength and elite ball handling.
