Today we at Prep Hoops look at the Minnesota Select squad coached by TC Robinson. A second quality group from Select.

[player_tooltip player_id="774764" first="Jace" last="Bigelow"] of Kasson-Mantorvile (6’4, SG). Jace is a top 50 level player in the senior class that scored 19 a game for the KoMets scoring at the arc, with the pull-up, and going at the rim to finish in transition. Good size on the wing and a quality football player as well.

[player_tooltip player_id="774800" first="Karsten" last="Clay"] of Northfield (5’10, PG). Clay scored 16 a game as the Raiders lead guard this year but made his biggest impression as a defensive battler and pace pusher. Shot 40 percent at the arc this year.

[player_tooltip player_id="957635" first="John" last="Palmer"] of Faribault (5’10, PG). Palmer paced the Falcons with 15.7 points a game scoring on 42.6 percent of his shots from behind the arc and leading his team in scoring.

[player_tooltip player_id="957621" first="Nico" last="Peterson"] of St. Paul Highland Park (6’6 PF). A player we are eager to see this year because his 6-foot-5 frame has a wingspan that is seven feet long. It helps Peterson finish at 15 points a game while blocking and contesting just about everything.

Kip Schetnan of Northfield (6’2, SG). All Big Nine player and a top 75 prospect in the 2021 local class. Lead in points (17), rebounds (4.5), threes made, and minutes played. Long and athletic player that competes with agility. Defensive annoyance at all times with a couple steals and a couple deflections each game.

[player_tooltip player_id="957196" first="Henry" last="Shannon III"] of Eastview (6’6, SF). Shannon spent most of his winter playing junior varsity but he has the potential to have a big varsity season as a senior. Shannon was an honored 16u player for the Magic last year and a top 100 talent in the senior class.

[player_tooltip player_id="957220" first="Grayson" last="Stalboerger"] of Eastview (6’1 PG). Excellent shooter who was an all 16u player for the Magic this year and he has a chance to be a double figure scoring threat on varsity next year. Played JV this past season but should move right into a quality varsity role next year.

Mick Wherley of Shakopee (6’6 PF). Played a piece of a role last year for Shakopee but has a chance to have a big 17u season and big senior year. Defends, hits the glass hard, finishes, and is fairly agile.
