The first thing that caught my eye about the senior guard was a wicked quick release and elevation he got under his jumper. But as the game went on, Hernandez showcased his all-around star potential on both ends of the floor. Starting a bit cold from the field, he began attacking the basket with a blistering first step, knocking down some free-throws in the process. And throughout the second half, the guard not only warmed up to the tune of 23 second half points, but also made some out-of-this-world plays on the defensive end. The combination of elusiveness, lights-out shooting and movement without the basketball was a big reason for his game-high 27 points and four-point Doral win.
