The Conference Review – The Metro West

<p>Chaska won the Metro West for the 5th time in six seasons.  The Hawks lead off and dominate our Conference Review/Metro West All Conference team. </p> <p><strong>The Final Standings (with the NHR Prediction)</strong></p> <ol> <li>Chaska (1)</li> <li>Robbinsdale Cooper (6)</li> <li>St. Louis Park (3)</li> <li>Bloomington Jefferson (5)</li> <li>Chanhassen (4)</li> <li>Bloomington Kennedy (7)</li> <li>Benilde-St. Margaret’s (2)</li> </ol> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>The Review</strong></p> <p>At the Top – Chaska won the league with an 11-1 record leading into their 24-4 record against a schedule full of non-league top teams from Minnesota.  The Hawks finished 5th in the state in Class AAAA and once again the team played a great team game moving higher than their potential.  </p> <p>The Surprise –  Cooper.  Most surely Cooper.  The Hawks went 19-6 this season with a strong junior core and a great season by a serious up and comer in sophomore Davion Evans.  Cooper was a .500 team a year ago and then finished this season winning 76 percent of their games.  </p> <p>What Happened? – Never did we expect BSM to fall to five wins with a senior group coming back.
