<p><strong>Tim Broom - Douglas County </strong></p> <p>The Huskies are off to a 8-5 start so far this season and have a nice balance of young and veteran players making an impact for them.  Their senior leader is Tim, he is currently averaging: 13.9 PPG, 6.4 RPG, 6.2 APG, 3.2 SPG, impacting the game in a number of different ways every night.  He has posted double-figures in scoring ten of their thirteen games to begin the season, with his current season high of 25 in a win against Chatfield.  He posted a triple-double earlier this month with 10 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists in a win against Liberty.  His 6.2 assists per game currently ranks him in the top ten in the state at 8th.  He does the majority of his scoring from inside the three-point arc, shooting 51% from two-point range on the season so far.  He played in 23 games as a junior for the Huskies, averaging: 4.5 PPG, 2.4 RPG, 1.3 APG.  It will be fun to watch going forward how Douglas County does, keep an eye out for them.</p> <p><strong>Will Maher - Mead </strong></p> <p>Will is one of the three senior leaders for a very talented Mead team this year, as they are off to a 13-1 start to the season.  Will is currently averaging: 11.9 PPG, 5.5 APG, 2.8 RPG, 1.8 SPG, his 5.5 APG ranks him in the top twenty (19) currently in the state.  He is a player that has seen some varsity time ever since his freshmen year, and he is doing a nice job during his senior campaign in leading a deep and talented team.  Will is a guard that can score from all three levels on the court, he is shooting 48% (24/50) currently on the year from distance and 57% from inside the arc.  Trey Ward and Nick Jacobs are the other two senior leaders for Mead.  Will is currently ranked 78th in the 2020 class, it will be fun to watch him lead this talented Mead team down the stretch of this season.     </p> <p><strong>Gabe McDevitt - Ponderosa</strong></p> <p>Ponderosa is off to a 8-6 start, with a senior led team.  Gabe is off to a monster senior season for them, he is averaging: 16.8 PPG, 4.6 RPG, 3.3 APG.  He has a great sense for the game and can score from all three levels, he is currently shooting 47% (30/64) from distance and 45% from inside the arc.  He has played in thirteen of their fourteen games, scoring double-figures in eleven games.  His season high so far is 26 points which came in a tough loss to Pueblo East earlier in the year.  He is a strong rebounder for a guard and does a nice job of finding the open teammate.  Last season as a junior he averaged: 11.8 PPG, 4.5 RPG, 2.0 APG, he's having a great senior season leading the way for Ponderosa.   Keep an eye out for Ponderosa to make some noise in the conference this year.  </p> <p><strong>Darnell Kindred - Pueblo East </strong></p> <p>Darnell is the senior leader for Pueblo East this year, he is leading the team in scoring at, 17.8 PPG and he is second on the team in rebounds at 5.8 RPG.  He has scored double-figures in twelve of their thirteen games, including 20 points or more in six games.  His season high of 30 points came in a win against D'Evelyn in the second game of the season.  He does the majority of his scoring from inside the three-point arc, shooting 55% (84/152) from two-point range and 71% from the charity strip.  He is a player with a lot of varsity experience for Pueblo East ever since he was a underclassman.   </p> <p><strong>Alex Morales - Wheat Ridge </strong></p> <p>Wheat Ridge only has two seniors on their roster, both of which have big roles for them.  Alex is currently the leading scorer for them at 17.4 PPG, he is also averaging: 3.0 RPG, 1.9 APG.  Alex, like some of the other players in this list is also a player who has seen varsity time since he was a underclassman and is having a breakout senior year.  Wheat Ridge is off to a 7-5 start behind Alex and the other senior, Dominic Bronk who is averaging a double-double on the year at 13 points and 10.6 rebounds per game.  Alex posted a season high of 32 points earlier this month in a win against Littleton, having his best shooting night from behind the arc in the game going four for eight.  He is currently shooting 32% (19/60) from deep on the season.     </p>
