<p>It was a busy week of basketball action over the holiday season! Let’s now examine the superlatives from the events that we attended. Here are our <strong>Holiday Tournament: Top Slashers Part 1</strong>!</p>

<p><strong>Will Wolfe (Oswego East)</strong></p>
<p>Wolfe is mostly known as a mid-range shooter, but it was his ball handling and slashing that impressed in their opener.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Javin Davis (Rockford Auburn)</strong></p>
<p>Davis is a strong and physical two guard that was powerful attacking downhill.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Joe Green (Marian Catholic)</strong></p>
<p>Green is a tenacious defender and offensively is best in transition getting to the cup.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Walt Mattingly (Deerfield)</strong></p>
<p>Mattingly displayed improved ball handling and slashing ability in their game.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Kam Craft (Buffalo Grove)</strong></p>
<p>Craft is one of the top sophomore wings in the class. He is silky smooth with the ball on straight line drives.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Solomon Hudson (Wheeling)</strong></p>
<p>Hudson is a combo guard that opened our eyes to his game with his ball handing getting to the rack.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Javen Reid (Wheeling)</strong></p>
<p>Reid is a power wing that bullies his way through defenders.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Troy D’Amico (Niles Notre Dame)</strong></p>
<p>D’Amico can really score it in a number of ways, but his crisp ball handling has opened up so much in his game this year.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Aquan Smart (Niles North)</strong></p>
<p>Smart is a combo that can get to the rim with the best of them. Elite slasher with a burst scoring in the lane.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Connor Kochera (St. Viator)</strong></p>
<p>Kochera has improved his handles and as the game went on he started to work the baseline for scores at the cup.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Nathanael Hoskins (Danville)</strong></p>
<p>Hoskins is a crafty lefty that uses his strength to score in the lane.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Pee Wee Brown (Peoria Manual)</strong></p>
<p>Brown is one of the state’s top JUCO prospects with his productivity scoring off the bounce.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Keshawn Williams (Bloom)</strong></p>
<p>Williams is among the best 2020 guards in the class. The combo guard excels making plays in transition.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Josh Smith (OPRF)</strong></p>
<p>Smith is a slick ball handler that has a burst attacking through the hole.</p>
